Procurement/Insurance Assistant (FI5085-20-116)

An exciting development opportunity has arisen in our Finance Team for an existing University of Brighton student looking for a placement in the 2020/21 academic year.

You will have the opportunity to learn about procurement and insurance management, supporting the team with a range of tasks and ad hoc projects, gaining valuable experience in the following areas:

General procurement practice including tendering

EU procurement Law and contract management

Insurance claim management

Insurance renewal processes

You should be able to plan and prioritise your own workload and be computer literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel to edit and produce financial spreadsheets. The ideal candidate will confident to respond clearly to queries from staff across the University and have previous experience, paid or unpaid, of working in a customer focused environment.

Please note that this post is only open to current University of Brighton students looking to undertake a placement. The role is for 10 months with an anticipated start date of September 2020.
