Research Delivery Feasibility Lead (MHNCC1244)

As Feasibility Lead for the Research Delivery Directorate, you will be responsible for leading the transformation of the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN) feasibility services within the NHS and health and social care settings, while continuing to oversee the feasibility function for the NIHR CRN. 

The feasibility function delivers a range of services for the portfolio of clinical studies that enable the researcher to efficiently identify the appropriate infrastructure and expertise to maximise the successful delivery of their study in the NHS and/or social care setting. The successful candidate will build on this existing offer to lead the digital transformation of existing services and the expansion of services for non-commercial academic clinical research.  

You will have experience of using complex data and supporting business intelligence, to inform feasibility and site identification for clinical research.  With an ability to work independently, work with colleagues to resolve complex problems and broker a balance between stakeholder and customer needs you will lead the transformation and subsequent implementation of a more data driven, innovative and self-service approach for the NIHR CRN feasibility services.

The Feasibility Lead will have strong communication, analytical, organisation, leadership and project management skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders across the NIHR infrastructure and the wider research landscape, including the life sciences industry, academics, charity funders, national research delivery teams, clinical leadership and local study support service teams.

Reporting to the Head of Feasibility and Start-up, you will have line management responsibility for the team within the CRN coordinating Centre delivering the feasibility services to our customers. You will also have significant experience of matrix management and a proven ability to deliver complex projects and programmes of work through this management model.
