About You 

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in the broad fields of Drama, Theatre, Performance Studies and related areas, and very good teaching experience on undergraduate Drama and Performance programmes is essential. A background in other areas represented in the Department of Creative Arts with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage. 

You will be a natural leader as well as a team player and will enrich our students’ experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice.

About the Role

This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking, dynamic and supportive team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within the field of Creative Arts, and play an integral part in the development of our newly formed Creative Arts department as we seek to refresh our curriculum and innovate. 

You will make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Drama degree, contributing to the delivery of our current modules while developing new ones, depending on your areas of expertise and experience. We would particularly welcome candidates who could teach on and develop modules that build on the collective strength of the Creative Arts offering. You will also contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.
