The Research and Industrial Partnerships team is looking for an enthusiastic and versatile individual for the role of Clerical Assistant. This position requires someone comfortable with working with a wide range of stakeholders and able to work with a certain degree of independence when delivering wide-ranging clerical and administrative support for the six University Research Theme steering groups as they develop, grow and initiate streams of activity. Working collaboratively the post holder will provide clerical support, working closely with the Research Theme Steering groups, Prof. Humphries (lead on implementation of the Research Themes) and key members of the Research and Enterprise team, in all aspects of Theme activities, including meeting organisation, organisation of events, communication to colleagues, basic finance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working independently on administrative and clerical tasks and will preferably have experience of working in Higher Education. They will be able to use their initiative, work as part of a team, and have the ability to cope in a dynamic and challenging environment. The ability to spot opportunities for improvement and a collaborative manner are also crucial for this post.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for a Skilled Worker visa.
