Are you about to complete your foundation programme and interested in developing your knowledge of medical education delivery and teaching skills?  If so then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

In conjunction with United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, the University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint, from August 2021, four Medical Education Fellows in Anatomy (5 sessions) / F3s in Medical Education (5 sessions including the option of some clinical work).

This is an incredibly exciting time to join the Lincoln Medical School. A partnership between the University of Nottingham and University of Lincoln, the School delivers the University of Nottingham’s BMedSci and BMBS curricula to an intake of 80 students per academic year. The University of Lincoln has invested in a new medical school building which will be completed in April 2021 and teaching scheduled to be offered in the brand new facilities from the new academic year.    You can find out more about our new building and existing facilities at    https://www.lincoln.ac.uk/home/medicalschool/facilities/

On your university days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning), you will act as demonstrators in anatomy practical classes, assist with clinical skills teaching, and will have the opportunity to carry out teaching in other settings such as lectures, seminars and case-based learning sessions. On your hospital days, the appointees will contribute to clinical teaching, training and mentoring of medical students in the clinical phase of their studies. This will include theoretical classroom work, clinical skills sessions and preparing students for life as a foundation doctor, the latter including supervising students’ direct interaction with patients.  There will also be the opportunity to undertake up to 2 clinical sessions per week subject to negotiation.

Postholders would be employed with the University of Lincoln in a fixed-term 12 month capacity (with an honorary contract provided by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust for hospital based work).  It would be possible to extend for a further 12 months subject to review.

Due to the current government guidelines relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, interviews for these positions will be undertaken on-line.

Flexible working requests will be considered depending on service need.
