Are you a pro-active and influential academic with a passion and commitment for online education and professional learning? Do you have the skills and experience to oversee the delivery of fully online education and professional learning at the University of Leeds?    

Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Digital Transformation, you will be responsible for the academic leadership of fully online education and professional learning, working collaboratively and in partnership with senior academics in the Faculties and Schools, senior Professional Services colleagues, external partners and colleagues across the university. 

You will be responsible for driving forward the delivery of the University’s Fully Online Education and Professional Learning strategies, with a particular focus on supporting Faculties and professional service colleagues to deliver new research-based fully online degree programmes, micro-credentials, short courses for professional learners and lifelong learners, ensuring a high-quality education and experience for all learners. You will ensure that the experience for all online and professional learners is reflective of the diversity of our community, and you will be responsible for developing a culture of inclusivity and belonging. 

You will have academic responsibility for ensuring the successful delivery of our portfolio of fully online degrees, micro-credentials and short courses, working closely with Faculties, Digital Education Services and our external partners. You will be responsible for successful delivery of our professional learning strategy, supporting Faculties and Services to deliver academically and financially sustainable professional learning and executive education, in multiple modes, for a range of stakeholders. 

You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of fully online education and professional learning, with experience of successfully leading the delivery of large, complex projects in an academic environment. You will have excellent leadership skills with ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve goals. You will have the ability to support project management activities and work within established processes. You will have experience of influencing and negotiating with colleagues in challenging situations.
