The School 

The London School of Film, Media and Design provides a vibrant hub of creative learning, offering professionally oriented courses which have been designed and developed with input from employers and industry specialists.

The Role

The School is currently looking for an Hourly Paid Lecturer for a fixed term between October 2021 and January 2022 to support our delivery of BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion and Imaging, BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Management and BA (Hons) Fashion Branding and Marketing.

Key accountabilities include UG teaching including designing, conducting and moderating assessment; implementing improvements informed by peer review, course evaluation and/or student feedback. 

This person is expected to actively promote both the program and the School through membership of - and links to - academic and professional networks in the Fashion Industry (UK and/or overseas).

Experience in the sector is vital for supporting the preparation of our UG students’ careers in the context of digital applications in the fashion industry.

It is essential that candidates have experience in teaching and learning at Higher Education level or experience in delivering corporate/executive training.  Strong IT skills including the ability to develop materials for and deliver online teaching is essential.

The successful candidate will preferably have a relevant MA qualification or equivalent industrial experience in the fashion industry which could include: fashion promotion, fashion styling, fashion graphic designing, editing, curating, to name a few. 

It is essential that candidates have experience in teaching and learning at Higher Education level or experience in delivering corporate/executive training.  Strong IT skills including the ability to develop materials for and deliver online teaching is essential.
