About You 

We are seeking an individual with teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level or equivalent, with experience of teaching Police Research Methods and Policing Research Report. You will also have experience of conducting academic research. You will have experience of combining practical, professional and academic roles and duties as well as conducting research or engaging in research related activities. A postgraduate degree in a field related to policing is desirable.

You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to supporting students and enhancing student employability. You will be an enthusiastic self-starter with a hard-working approach. 

About the Role

This role provides an opportunity to work in an ambitious, research-led and practice driven department aiming to build a centre of excellence in professional policing studies. 

You will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Policing programmes; specifically, to the delivery of our modules on Police Research Methods and Policing Research Report. You will also contribute to teaching on other areas of our curriculum, depending on your areas of expertise and experience. Knowledge of designing and delivering on a Policing master’s programme would also be beneficial. In addition, you will provide input to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the Research Excellence exercise in 2027 and beyond.
