We are seeking an enthusiastic Operations Officer to join the School of Politics and International Relations. We are looking for someone who has the transferable skills to be able to the make most of this opportunity. 

To support our continued success, we are recruiting an Operations Officer (Research Knowledge Exchange (RKE) & Operations) to join our team in the School of Politics and International Relations.  

As Operations Officer, you will be part of an integrated team with responsibility for providing operational and administrative support for a range of School/Faculty processes and activities, with a primary focus on supporting Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) and Core Operations. You will:

Support the smooth and efficient delivery of core operations, ensuring that established processes are adhered to and that academics and senior professional services colleagues are supported in the delivery of their duties. Support the smooth and efficient delivery of research-related operations, ensuring that established operational processes are adhered to, and support academics in the delivery of their RKE-related activity. 

You will need good interpersonal skills, work well in a team, be organised, flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment.  As someone who learns quickly, is proactive and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, you will help drive forward improvements and deliver excellent service.  In return we will support your development and put in place a personal training programme to help you progress in your career.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours.
