Database Administrator and Integration Lead (IS5013-22-397)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Business Systems team for a key role in the support, development and implementation of our administrative IT systems. 

You will be part of a small team supporting a number of central administrative third-party applications and providing database administration services in a mixed Oracle and Microsoft SQLServer environment at the University.

You will be expected to create and maintain databases, write interfaces between them and other applications and provide support to users with technical issues. You will also be Technical Lead for projects implementing new services and larger upgrades as well as upgrading some applications yourself.

You will be expected to have a good grasp of SQL and scripting in both windows and Linux environments, and preferably some experience of performing backup and recovery using third party tools or the command line. You will also need the ability to communicate effectively with technical users and key contacts throughout the University.
