This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving University in support of its IT systems and services. You will be involved in the wide-ranging tasks undertaken by the IT Service Desk.
This is not necessarily a technical role, however IT skills development is on offer for someone looking to start a career in I.T.
To succeed in the role you will have demonstrable I.T and organisational skills with a particular ability to follow documented processes with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Experience of customer service is essential.
Main duties include:
Account and mailbox creation.Granting access to I.T systems (following documented procedures)Closure of resolved calls.Directing students and staff to user guides.Call logging and some initial triage (using call logging software) following Service Desk processes.This post currently has the benefit of agile working, with 2 days a week in the office, 3 days working remotely if desired.
