This is an exciting opportunity within the School of Art and Media to be part of a team providing technical resource and demonstration to support teaching activities within the printing area. You will organise, prepare and deliver technical inductions and demonstration and provide technical resource support for the academic needs of students and staff.
You will have in depth knowledge and the ability to be confident in a wide range of printing techniques, skills and media related to printmaking both traditional and digital, with the ability to demonstrate these techniques to students. Specific lithography skills including the use of plates on both offset and direct press are required
This post requires you to be able to problem solve, and be highly skilled in the use of the printmaking specialist industrial equipment in the department and be able to demonstrate these skills in front of students, as well of a knowledge of digital printing
It is essential that you have the ability to contribute to the decision making of others by providing relevant information and opinions in the specialist area. You must be able to work within a team, be organised and flexible, and able to support the student learning experience across all areas of the department.
This is a part time permanent post for 22.5 hours per week term time only.
