The Department 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT). CELT is the University’s academic development unit and our focus is to enhance on the professional development of those who teach to ensure outstanding student outcomes and to provide staff with enhanced career prospects. 

The Role 

The post holder will provide essential, high quality administrative support for the Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching and deliver a range of core activities relating to our team’s Professional Development offer, including the organisation of our annual Festival of Learning and Teaching. They will cover a range of duties relating to administrative support for staff and students on our accredited and postgraduate courses: being the first point of contact for enquiries; supporting inductions and enrolments throughout the year; assisting with the preparation and conduct of our assessment boards; attendance and engagement monitoring and reporting.

They will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and build positive and effective relationships with the wider University community, students and stakeholders including our external bodies. 

The Person

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator and team player, able to prioritise their own workload whilst maintaining strong attention to detail and have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service. 

Successful applicants should have previous administrative experience, ideally working in a HEI, and be able to operate multiple IT systems.
