“The role of Events Assistant is a great opportunity to apply your skills and learn more about event delivery at the University. Working with stakeholders in the Campaign and Alumni Office (CARO) and the wider University, you will manage a range of administrative tasks that underpin our events programme, from guest registration to booking venues and suppliers. There are opportunities to meet alumni, donors and volunteers both in-person and virtually, and play a key role in helping make sure every event is a success”.        

We are recruiting for an Events Assistant to support the work of the Campaign and Alumni Relations Office Events team. You will be helping to deliver flagship events which engage and inspire our community of alumni, donors and volunteers, and help achieve our objectives of increasing levels of advocacy, volunteering and philanthropic funding to the University.? 

As part of the Communication and Events team, you will be responsible for delivering administrative support and excellent customer service. You will be the first contact for attendees registering for events and will ensure our event records are accurate and up to date. Other duties include processing payments, liaising with event venues and other suppliers, and helping schedule and deliver event communications.

 You will have: 

Good IT skills – with the confidence to learn new systems with support.   Good communication skills – able to communicate both verbally and written with a high degree of accuracy and detail.  Ability to work in a systematic way – accurately following processes and procedures.   Good time management skills – prioritizing tasks as needed to deliver to deadline.
