The Partnerships and Business Engagement team is looking for an exceptional business support staff with a passion for working with academics, businesses and the knowledge exchange community to support the delivery of a European funded project. We are seeking to fill a role to deliver a unique business support programme for small to medium enterprise businesses across a range of industrial sectors. This role will function as part of a delivery team for the project. The primary focus of this role is to support companies in a structured programme of activity with a focus on Cyber security and business innovation. 

The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong capability and expertise in working with companies supporting them in their growth and development. As the delivery team for the project, you will be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to lead and run structured workshops with multiple participants, work one-to-one with companies, and be able to write a wide range of reports and other material to support the community and individual companies. Working in a highly innovative team, you will be able to showcase innovative approaches to working with companies and helping them to grow, with clear evidence of developing new process and systems to engage the SME community. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to work on large government funded projects with high accuracy and attention to detail. 

The role is part of the delivery team for the Greater Manchester Cyber Foundry ERDF project, led by the Manchester Metropolitan University, in collaboration with the University of Salford and the University of Manchester. The GM Cyber Foundry is a world leading project to support business, regardless of industrial sector, to develop business growth strategies with Cyber Security at their heart. Lancaster university will be providing a range of business workshop support activity and technical development. These roles will provide the delivery support for Lancaster University’s role in the GM Cyber Foundry, as such you will be working closely with the delivery teams at the partner institutions. 

The role will be based at Lancaster University and be embedded within the School of Computing and Communications BPE team, with delivery of events and workshops taking place in Manchester, therefore some level of travel is required.
