Flying directly to València
València Manises Airport is situated around 8 km to the west of the city. Daily flights arrive from all across Spain and Europe, with several flights a day from:

The previous list is far from exhaustive and new flights are added on a weekly basis. València Airport offers a wide variety of facilities, including tourist information, assistance with luggage, coffee bar, car rentals, metro service to Valencia and taxi.
On arrival it is best to get a taxi from the airport. Taxi stops are located at the arrivals area of the airport and costs about 20€ to the city. Metro is also convenient. Both Metro Line 3 and 5 link the airport with the centre of València, (roughly 25 minutes away). These trains are the cheapest option available for getting to the city centre.

The Spanish road network has improved a lot in the last 20 years and there are good roads to all other Spanish cities. It takes about 2 hours from Alicante, 4 hours from Madrid and 4 hours from Barcelona.
The A7 motorway links the city to all major European road networks.
Getting to València by train
València Joaquín Sorolla Train Station is the new station for high-speed trains.
There are 10 high-speed trains (AVE) per day from Madrid to València with the trip in around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Other daily high-speed trains (ALVIA) are also available and take around 2 hours and 10 minutes.
There are 10 trains (EUROMED) per day from Barcelona to València that take around 3 hours.
There are 4 trains (EUROMED) per day from Alicante to València. Other daily trains (TALGO) are also available, both take around 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Getting to València by bus
There are many buses each day to and from the other large Spanish cities (like Madrid or Barcelona). The bus station is on the North of the City, so you will need to get a taxi or a bus to get to the centre.

There is an extensive, low cost public transport network covering the city including bus, underground, tram and taxi. We remind you that the registration fee includes a transfer ticket valid for 10 journeys in Zone A, with transfers permitted between subway network (Metrovalencia), bus (EMT) and MetroBus.

Tourist information office
The documentation required to travel to Spain varies according to the country of origin.
If you are a citizen of an EU country, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Lichtenstein, you will need a valid passport or ID card. Additionally, in the case of a minor traveling with an ID document, this must be accompanied by written permission from the parents.
If you come from another country:
The maximum stay in Spain is 90 days. There are a number of countries whose citizens are required to have a valid current visa in order to enter Spain. You can consult them on Annex 4 of this document. Citizens of these countries can also travel to Spain if they have a residence permit or a long-term visa issued by another country in the European Union (with the exception of the United Kingdom, Ireland, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus), Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein.
Citizens of all other countries must be in possession of documents which justify the object and the conditions of their stay and be in possession of sufficient economic resources for their maintenance throughout the period they are intending to remain in Spain. The documents they are required to present will vary according to the motive of the trip. You can consult them in the “Foreign Affairs” section of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Spain website.
It is advisable to take out travel insurance for your trip.

International Airports
All international airports in Spain are used for international flights, as well as for local and charter flights.
Train
Spain has an extensive and efficient rail network that connects major cities and regions. High-speed trains like the AVE (Alta Velocidad Española) offer rapid travel between cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Valencia. International train services connect Spain to neighboring countries including France and Portugal. Regional trains provide access to smaller towns and scenic countryside areas.
From Madrid, there are boat trips on the Manzanares River, offering picturesque views of the city's landmarks including the Royal Palace and Almudena Cathedral.

Electricity
The electricity is 230 V, 50 Hz. Visitors from Japan, the UK, the USA, and other countries should note that Spain uses type C and F plugs. Ensure you have the appropriate adapter for your devices.
Foreign Exchange, Banking Facilities
The official currency in Spain is the euro (EUR). Major credit cards are accepted in establishments displaying the emblem at the entrance. Currency exchange booths are available at airports, railway stations, travel agencies, banks, and various city locations. Exchange rates may vary. Traveller’s cheques and convertible currency can be exchanged at these facilities. ATMs are widely available for cash withdrawals using credit or debit cards.
Liability and Insurance
Conference organizers generally do not accept liability for personal accidents, loss of belongings, or damage to private property of participants and accompanying persons during the meeting. Participants are advised to arrange for their own health, travel, and property insurance before departure to the conference.

Weather
Spain experiences a diverse climate due to its size and geographical features. Coastal areas like Barcelona and Valencia have a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers (June to August) and mild, wet winters (December to February). Inland cities like Madrid have a more continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. The north, including cities like Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela, has a temperate maritime climate with cooler summers and mild, rainy winters. The southern region, including cities like Seville, experiences very hot summers and mild winters.

Visa and Customs Information
Spain has adopted the customs regulations of the European Union.
Spain is part of the Schengen Area, which includes 26 European countries. For non-Schengen EU, USA, and Canadian citizens, a valid passport is sufficient to enter the country. Citizens of other countries should check whether a visa is needed for entry. On request, the Organizing Committee may issue invitation letters for visa applications. Apply for a visa well in advance if necessary. Please indicate during registration if you need a personal invitation to attend the conference. A visa grants preliminary permission for entry but does not automatically authorize entry to the country.
